Sky Sue

SUE loves the Flint Hills, and unknown to me until recently, she also loves Deep Creek Road off I-70. This drive needs to be experienced to fully appreciate the magnitude of how boundless the Flint Hills in Kansas are. Every hill you drive over, there is an infinity of hills on the other side vanishing into the sky - the brewing storm cloud is so far in the distance, it's no threat to this viewer. This drive was one of my best days ever - not a planned trip, but more of a "why not?" And I liken that to meeting my friend Sue in 8th-grade algebra class, taking a chance to speak to her. Since that day, we've been friends, and 40 years later, our dads are finally friends too - another chance meeting.Looking forward to driving over a few more hills with Sue.
